i was talking abouch the small caldari carrier and its setup. and while we were chatting sombody noted that the crystal implants dont effect capital shield boosters, sombody saying it does, and what aboud slaves? do they effect capital ships? also sombody telling it does not effect the stats of the shield booster but it does give the shield boost bonus.
could sombody run a few tests and give the final results ? i would be very happy.

they say the slave implants effect capital ships.
but there are also people wo say crystal implants does effect capital shield boosters, and people wo say it does not.
that is why i dont trust the sources. i wand a clear answer from a capital ship pilot wo tested it and can say it with garantee.
tough, a dev post would be even better to explain it
so, you're thewizz's alt?

Originally by: Jirad TiSalver i have tested the phoenix (caldari dread) with a full set of low-grade crystal implants and i have verified by having some friends get my shields down about half and then hitting my capital shield booster. Unfortuately i only got the default, 6400 hp of boost. Very disappointing . . .i have filed a bug report.
Hope this helps.
ill make a bug report to.

It's a feature but good luck with that
if its a feature i should bug report it as a balancing problem. i heard slave implants do effect the capital ships ( armour tanking olrady has advantage becouse with capital ships its all aboud holding on as long as possible)

Get a dread gurr. amp and shield booster 8800 or thereabouts every cycle (interestingly there are much better amps in the game, but the dread gurr is somewhat affordable for most who fly dreads)
Of course in seige mode you really dont need that amp and I've changed out for another more situationally useful module.
I think if I were to engage in an assault on a deathstar type POS I would definitely put the amp back in.
that reminds me, crystal implants are not THAT effective as many of u think, becouse u have shield boost amplifiers who also give 30%. that cuts it down abid.
so its more like if u boost 100 shield 30% more with amp u boost 130% shield if u have a low-grade crystal implant set u boost 30% more over the 100 shield, in total u boost 160 shield. understand what i mean?

erm lol? a full set of crystal implants will increase your shield boost amount by 53.63%. Add to that skills and boost amplifiers and you will probably be at least doubling your boost amount.
btw wizz, it would be 100 x 1.3 x 1.3, so 169 in total.
if u can afford a full crystal implant set and get it all togeter.
u can also afford 45% ( maybe even 50% if theyr there) shield boost amplifiers

Originally by: Sarmaul Edited by: Sarmaul on 22/02/2006 20:00:19 If they did apply to capital boosters, the maths would be:
Amount: 6400 (capital booster) x 1.5363 (implants) x 1.375 (dg amp) x 1.5 (siege mode) = 20279.16hp
Duration: 10 (capital booster) x 0.5 (siege mode) = 5 seconds.
so that's 20279.16 every 5 seconds, or 4055.832 per second. That's not taking into account resistance either (you can quite easily get over 80% for each resistance).
So yeah, there's a very good reason why crystal implants shouldn't apply to shield boosters. I just wish CCP would confirm it themselves...
this is wrong, crystal implant set does not give bonus to amplifier
EDIT: i must say that having a full crystal implant set on a capital ships might make it a liddle over powerd.
but as it it now it is not balanced eather. maybe u could like make the crystal implants effect the passive recharge rate of captial ships? or the total shield hitpoints of the capital ships like the slave implant?
